Clark Security Group (CSG) is an independent security consultancy established in 1991.  CSG is not affiliated with security equipment, systems or guard providers.  Clark Security Group specializes in security and emergency planning for corporations, universities, hospitals, museums, libraries and other archival environments. CSG provides comprehensive security and emergency planning and targeted training. 

James H. Clark, CPP has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and is a Board Certified Protection Professional, ASIS International. He has over 30 years experience in law enforcement and security management.  For the past 19 years, he has managed a nationally recognized independent security consulting firm specializing in institutional security for hospitals, libraries, museums and universities. Mr. Clark is a member and past President of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants, ASIS International and The International Foundation for Cultural Properties Protection. In addition to his extensive security assessment and forensic experience, Mr. Clark has been a featured speaker for the American Library Association, the Ohio Library Council, the International Foundation for Cultural Properties Protection and other professional organizations.  He is active in the community as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Avon Lake Public Library and the Lorain County Initiative Against Human Trafficking.  Mr. Clark has experience consulting for American and multi-national organizations, US and foreign government agencies and institutions.

J.R. Thomas earned a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Science from the Ohio State University. He has been active in the emergency management community for over 25 years serving as director for 12 or his 20 years for the emergency management agency for Franklin County (Columbus), Ohio. J.R. taught for 3 years at the college level while developing an Emergency Management Certificate program. He also served as first Associate Vice President  in charge of domestic emergencies for Save the Children. J.R. has remained active in the industry and is a former president of the 2500-member International Association of Emergency Managers as well as former president of the Emergency Management Association of Ohio. He has served as an altenate to the FEMA National Advisory Council, developed state-wide workshops, develops and instructs FEMA offered courses. Recent assignments include the development of an emergency evacuation plan for the Ohio State University football stadium, developed exercises and coordinated local and national emergency response operations.
